Recent Golden Nugget Review: "We had a very pleasant stay at the Golden Nugget. One of the reasons we chose it was the location of the pool. Unlike some of the other hotels in Laughlin, this pool overlooks the river, not buried between buildings. The area around the pool and jacuzzi are nicely landscaped and well maintained. The furniture includes comfortable couches and lounge chairs, not the usual cheap webbed chairs. The pool itself is a little small and only 4 feet deep. Hard to actually swim in. The room was very comfortable and clean. There was a goodie basket on the desk, but no mention anywhere that you would be charged extra for anything used from it. That would have been nice to know. We don't gamble, but just come for a get away from home, so I can't comment on the casino. Over all, worth the few more dollars than the cheapest rooms in Laughlin cost. We'll be back!"
