Recent River Palms Casino Review: "After reading many of the reviews on multiple websites I was nervous about my upcoming stay at River Palms. I booked it because it was the cheapest room along the river. Many other reviewers complained about long check-in lines and impolite service. My experience was quite the opposite. When I arrived late on a Thursday night there was no line at all. Every employee I came in contact with was very nice, polite and helpful. The room was clean and large. We were in the south tower/wing. I don't know why they call it a tower since it is only 3 stories. Our room had a modernized bathroom with imitation granite countertop. We had 2 full sized beds, a TV and a small refriderator which was quite efficient. There was an ATT Wifi hotspot signal but it didn't work too well so I just used my Cellular card. No room service was available which probably saved me a bundle since the kids love to order room service. The buffet was cheap and the kids were free under 5 years old. Remember, this is Laughlin, not Las Vegas. We come for the river and lake activities. There are no 5 star resorts here. Just nice basic inexpensive Casino Hotels and River Palms is a nice example of that."

    Expert Tip.
    The Laughlin Entertainer, a complimentary magazine available at the hotel gift shop, contains information on gaming, upcoming events and Riverboat cruises down the Colorado River. These riverboat cruises transport tourists through the Eldorado Valley and past the historic mining town of Searchlight, and descend 4,500 feet into the Mohave Valley.
